Video from my latest project, dedicated to Ellington
(Studio release on its way)

After one day of studio recording we opened to doors to the audience (some 80 people in the small auditorium/studio room) asking not to clap until five seconds after the end of the songs.
I ended up with two full sets: one on video and one on CD/digital (on its way)

Superb sound and fine playing - congratulations.

What's that weird neck (on the saxophone, not one of the musicians) ?

Rhys
That's a Sequoia (now RB Sax) prototype.
My loved MkVI died badly half way on the first day of recording and I selected that as a spare.

Man, you guys sound fantastic!

I do have a question. In the YouTube video it states "Trieste" and I was wondering whether by any chance you know an old friend of mine there who I haven't seen or heard of in 50 years, his name is Gino D'Eliso, he was big into music, with a couple of records way back when, even had a few songs in the charts.

I know it would be total coincidence but stranger things have happened.

He was pretty big at the time and still making music, as far as I know
We are "friends" on facebook but we never worked together (I left Trieste in 1990, with very few professional links there)

Wow, small world! He used to date my sister, I don't even remember how long ago, some time around 1973 - 75. The guitar player he was working with "Goran" had a blonde 1957 Les Paul and that's really all I remember.

Thanks! You just made my day!

1963 Les Paul standard. Goran Tavcar.
(I asked him...)
It was the first guitar I ever held in my hands. 1971 at the Post Hotel in San Candido where they played the New Years Eve event!
1963 is good enough :)
That's a trip down memory lane ... The one song I remember Goran nailing it was Theme for an imaginary Western by Jack Bruce.

And now I remember the band's name: "Imagine"
