Beginner Sax Yts 62 serial number

Hi, has anyone ever sen a yts 62/3 with serial number starting with D ***
judt bought and trying find out a bit more about it

Yes. They've been using letter prefixes for at least four years now. No idea what it means. Could relate to year of manufacture or even the intended international market.

As already suggested, write to Yamaha. They'll get back to you with the details.
The serial numbers can't be easily mapped to a year of manufacture. Yamaha changed the numbering a few times.

When I last emailed Yamaha for serial number info, I used

UK.Support@contact.europe.yamaha.com

Might be worth trying if you don't get any joy from the other one.

Which an autoreply sent us here:

In filling out the form, there was no YAS23 on the list but there is the YTS62

FWIW, my yts62/3 purchased Feb 2020 has serial Fnnnn where 'n are numeric digits.
