I've always toyed with the idea of a completely electronic key work system. I have heard someone in South America was working on something like that - I'll have to see if I can dig it.

But what sort of things (large or small) have you wished for, wondered about or even started experimenting with?

This?

I've seen something like that before maybe it was that one.
Looking down that document to the section entitled 'Similar documents' I saw this:

'A Thousand and One Nights’ exalted position in the Pindaric World of Dino Buzzati:" The Dog That Has Seen God" as a Sufi Tale'

I think I might have been on the catnip again.

Maybe I have mentioned this before but I've been thinking a saxophone bagpipe are two things that deserve to be combined.

Yes, I can imagine an obnoxiously loud bagpipe that can also be played way out of tune. Another instrument that's so horrible that it's used to inspire people to go into battle and kill each other?

Anyone ever notice that bagpipers wear ear plugs, but don't pass them out to those they are playing for?

...it's actually ear wax you're noticing. The immense internal pressure in the bagpiper's head pushes the wax out.

Specsavers' audiology services are about to introduce bagpipes to nineteen of their stores in trials aimed at clearing customers ear wax more effectively, and at the same time increasing their customer base by causing hearing problems to those within a two mile radius of the store.

Hummmm... With Asbestos* pads & gloves you could get flames from the tone holes

*or some other fireproof material, probably made by 3M - coincidence? I don't think so!

I want...Textured keys, especially the segmented low key for Bb etc so that I can feel when I have the right place without having to look down. Perhaps a special sax for beginners, with textured keys and a slot at the bottom of the mouthpiece for the reed so you know it's sat properly....a metronome that you can actually hear over the sax, or one that lights up maybe. Oooh and a comfy neck strap...

metronome that you can actually hear over the sax,
At least for that; i have a basic pair of ear buds on the practice stand - for metronom and backing tracks. With added advantage of being ear defenders. My metronome and tracks are on a tablet with sheet music etc. Tidy.

And the universal truth

Thank you, I have some ear buds. A lot of my stuff is paper and hard copy, books etc but I have a lot downloaded too. Thanks for neck strap recommendation, I've ordered one. My neck thanks you 🙂

Sure. But something like MobileSheats on a big, cheep (the demands on CPU and memory are very low) android tablet (there's an equivalent on apple) keeps everything organised and available. With built in metronome & MP3 player or metronome app - things get organised and convenient very quickly.

I wonder if it would be ok with my kindle? It's a 13 inch one so quite big...I'll see if I can download it. Thank you
As far as i know, a Kindle Fire, yes. A Kindle eReader, no.

But a metronom app on the with ear buds is quite usable
