The 62 series range of horns was introduced 1977/1978 which superseded the 61 series. Today the 4th of February I purchased my 62 series alto 39 years ago. It cost me NZD1,440.00. I traded in two Taiwanese saxes - an alto and a tenor and NZD740.00 cash. In those days in New Zealand (and nothing much has changed) - 1986 - you couldn't go to your nearest music store and purchase a pro horn (or try a whole bunch of pro horns) you had to order it which I did in November 1985. Great horn and I'm still playing it...nearly 40 years later...to give my horn a "birthday" treat I played it today with a Peter Ponzol Gold Plated Custom neck and a 1969 Brilhart Level Air mouthpiece...

This looks a great horn and appeared a good price as "purple logo" horns appear to be getting more sought after...:thumb:
