Yamaha YAS23 alto sax - blows great!

Yamaha YAS23 alto sax for sale. Has the predictable superficial scratches where the sax has rubbed against clothing but nothing serious, and no dents. All pads, springs, bumpers, corks and felts are in good order and the sax plays really, really well. Has a lovely light action and can hold its own against far more expensive saxes. Also has the significant benefit of coming with a high quality Riffault ebonite mouthpiece, which is also in good order with no tooth marks and unmarked tip, rails and table.

This is a super Japanese made sax. The current Indonesian made version cost £830, which makes this one a bargain at £240. Postage and packing will be £16, or you can collect for free from my office in central London. I’ll donate 5% to Pete’s charity fund, of course.

I think here is a great opportunity for a new player like breathless/Lee to purchase one of Jon's altos to step on to the ever increasing world of G.A.S....then comes the soprano, the baritone, c-melody :shocked:

I don't think breathless/Lee realizes part of the rules of the forum is that six months after joining you must at least own two saxophones🙂))

Actually I'm surprised Davey hasn't snapped this up as a back up to his 32 series alto...🙂

I listed this on eBay yesterday, and it sold, for more than I was asking here, in 4 1/4 hours. Ah well.

I just missed a Yamaha made Vito here, went for about 220euros inc posage. The Yamaha 23/25s are going for 3-400 euros. I thought about yours, but postage from the UK would kill it. (No I'm not looking for one, was going to buy/sell on).
