Would be scammers

Hello
I've had three replies to my advert for my Mauriat PMXA-67R alto on Gumtree.
All have been attempted scams.

And quite frankly they are pathetic.
If they are typical I can't understand why the scammers bother.

All refer to 'the item', none ask sensible questions like a real person would. One asked me to click on a link to another site so that I can see what is required. Pardon?
And one gave me an address in Lagos, Nigeria to send 'the item' which will be donated to a school. Yeah, yeah.

Are these feeble attempts typical? Or am I just a scam-magnet?

ps. if anyone here is interested in buying I'll donate 5%

Cheers

Hi Alan,

You've been lucky to only get 3 - I once made the mistake of mentioning that I'd accept payment by Paypal for an item, and was inundated with potential scammers!

I now prefer to use Preloved as they offer some sort of buyer/seller protection.

Sorry, I can't justify buying your sax!

Cheers,

Amanda

Pretty though, isn't it.

btw. what's all that about geraniums? Do you think that's what Morrissey had in mind but wasn't very good at botany?
