This is the mouthpiece that came with the BEACON TENOR SAXOPHONE that I am in the process of stripping down. :w00t:

DSC00127.jpg DSC00130(1).jpg

As can be seen it is well WORN if this is the original mouthpiece which was supplied with the sax when new (this mouthpiece had not been taken of for years untill removed by me to beadblast the neck)
It appears that the sax and mouthpiece must have been a pretty good player and the previous Owner/Owners also must have know how to play. :)))

They must have a grove in their teeth looking a the ridge worn in the mouthpiece :)))

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF SOME OF THE MOUTHPIECE EXPERIENCE WOULD RUB-OFF ON ME IF I USED IT :)))

WILL FIT A YANI SUNRAY OR A ELKHART GLADSAXISME FREE FOR PICK-UP >:):)))

Come n get it ...

Ha Ha Tony ...

Have you tried blowing the mouthpiece yet? I wouldn't mind giving it a try sometime ... [you never know it may turn a n00b like me into a pro overnight] :)))

It looks like mine are most likely destined to become ... "old n worn" ... [like me] ... :shocked:

But as some say - with age comes quality ... ;}

How is the sax comming on, where are you at with it, have you had to do much other than strip,clean [Etc] and maybe a re-pad?

Cheers mate ...

Sunray [another Tony] ...

that's well worn, stick it on ebay, with a comment 'Signs of use, but doesn't affect the sound'
