Sorry pete.

I just cant get brave to work with the forum, both windoze and android versions have new faults for me in the last month ( not only this website), also disconnecting wifi sporadically. This is not happening with microsoft Edge browser. hmm that seems to ring a bell or 3,

Anyway I bought audio interface in UK and plumped for a wee Behringer uca 222. Very simple and it utilises my Spirit Folio desk better than all these bigger ones with bells and hooters. Its only 16bit 48k. but lets face it . Thats DAT quality. It sounds clean and of course has its own ASIO driver and control panel. so I am very happy with it at only !9 quid shipped to me.

I’m finding my ideas these days tend to relate more to mood and atmosphere than notes, chords and melody. Obviously the latter come later but- in service of the former.

With that in mind I’ve started working on a new project- reverse engineered for the titles. Its early days yet but I’m finding certain of the titles I’ve got- inspired by Victorian Stage Magic, spiritualism and various obscure historical byways- immediately suggest instrumentation, mood and feel. Its like providing a cinematic soundtrack to the murky backwaters of my imagination….

Me too. I have been starting out with just the concept for a bit of time now.
Unfortunately there seems to be no end to the sheer quantity of Doom and Negativity floating around from which perhaps to call on for inspiration. It would seem to be all very "4 Horsemen" since 2019 perhaps 2012 was a Typo. Lol.
Good luck getting whatever you guys are doing anyway. Me. I am scheduled for releasing my Sicknotes album on Bandcamp soon. I will probably embed it here if I can sum up the courage as it ain't looking too pretty.
