I just thought I would ask if anyone has a pre 1950's Buffet Clarinet bell available to sell, or indeed any other broken sticks, if you have anything I would sincerely appreciate it, good price paid plus I would make the donation to the cafe.

Thanks for your time.

Melissa, I don't know if this of interest but Dawkes have a Clarinet spares section, and there are a number of Bells listed, might be exy though.

If there is something you want from Dawkes let me ask them as I have a very good relationship with the guys. Great shop and really helpful. I also have to get e few more bits from them so we could put a "package" together for a bit of discount.

Aldevis, Sorry, I am not recieving any notifications for some reason, the earlier bells were more slender and elegant than the later ones, I could put a later bell on an old clarinet but then it would not be the same and like Saxophonists, some Clarinettists are absolute purists and would notice the difference. Yes some dealers do put later Bells on, but I feel it is a little devious, and perhaps I am a little too honest for my own good.

The difference is marginal, but they are most certainly different in shape. I shall try and find some photos to show this.

Prof: No, not a good one anyhow, I do have a trade account with Dawkes/Windcraft but they are asking silly money for Bells and they are all too late, though I suppose they could have an earlier one as they have boxes of old stock.

PM me exactly what you need and I shall speak to one of the guys so they will have a concerted look in the storeroom
