hi everyonebody
I'm looking for an A or Bb soprano clarinet barrel, 67 or 68 mm length, preferably in hardwood, though i'll consider Plastic / hard rubber.
No loose-rings, cracks or damage, please, let me know what you have and what you're asking,
including signed or tracked postage to Glasgow UK.
I can pay PayPal, cheque, or else i can bring a pile of 100-pound-notes if we meet person. :w00t:
I'll make a small donation to Pete's thang , if appropriate.

-Andy-

Moennig/Chadash / whatever - i'll consider any type of bore. It's for an old, worn key-of-A wooden Koehlert, and I'm not a good enough player to worry to much about the bore-shape. :)
A new Buffet barrel, 67 mm or 68mm, will cost me about £ 55, VAT & delivery included,
from thomann, so does anyone have something for me ??

I am going to loose a lot o coolpoints, but I strongly recommend you to buy an adjustable reamer too (about £10 on ebay). I am not sure a Koehlert will have a standard buffet bore size: it would play witha very funny tuning. I might have some bad alluminum piece, but I wouldn't recommend it.

apart from matching the bore, you will also need to make sure the socket for the tenon fits the barrel without leaving any gaps

if you can measure the diameter of the top joint barrel tenon and its depth to the shoulder I'll have a look and see what Ive got.

shoulder height is 18 mm, maybe 18.5
[ but i can shim or file as necessary]
internal bore is ? 14 or 14.5 mm ? ,
external diameter of wooden tenon = ? 23mm ?

like i say , i'm not too fussy here , guys,
I'm only blowing some lazy-@$$ gypsy-jazz
through it, not joining the symphony orchestra :)

Hi Andy,

PM me your address and I'll send you a barrel I have that is the closest match to your dimensions. I dont want anything for it but a small donation to Petes charity wouldnt go amiss.;}
