Wanted..Bari..low Bb

MkVI is my first instinct. They can be great. Other low Bb baris can have rather cranky keywork...like the Conns, Bueschers.

I certainly sympathise about the weight thing...I only play my low A bari on a stand in big bands, low Bb MkVI for standing up gigs. It also has a woodier tone than modern baris.

Saxrax makes three different versions of 'Bari Sax Stick'; this is the standing version: http://www.saxrax.com/#/shop/4577383905/Bari-sax-stick-standing/6287675 I've never tried one but my Saxrax Baritone stand is very sturdy and well thought out.

Yanagisawa made low B♭ baritones. (to special order) until the late nineties (it may still do for all I know). These are not common, but the combination of low B♭ with modern ergonomics might suit you.

Problem with stands is I can't 'stand em'.. I need to 'sway' with the music..on a serious note MKVI have a large key spacing and I have small hands, I had my eye on the short Bb run that Mauriat did 3/4 years ago but then did not have the funds, even today I certainly cannot afford 3/4/5k for a new Baritone. Regarding the earlier post concerning the LBlanc/Vito..were these not badged 'Yangisawa' I think early Vitos in the U.S were...
