For Sale,
Vito Baugnier Tenor serial number 1163A not sure of date, 1960s ?
It has been completely stripped down, cleaned (inside and out) and repadded with all new Prestini "de luxe" pads, lacquer is in pretty good condition apart from a few scratches and usual worn areas (mostly palm keys and left pinky). Some signs of dent removal from the bow, otherwise I cannot see any other dents.
Only non original part is the low D# keyguard, for which I had MikeyB (saxstuff.co.uk) make me a new replacement to match the existing design. It has the original (and rare!) "art deco" pants guard (missing from most of the examples I have seen for sale on the net) and the switchable G# mechanism.
The neck is original and in good condition, keywork is light and fast! It is ready to be played.
I will include a black

Berkley shaped case, which fits it nicely (because of the left hand bell keys).
It is a wonderfully playing tenor and the price is £500 + £15 couriered to UK mainland (or pick up for free!). Donation of 5% to the charity if sold on this forum.

These are very nice horns, I have just gone back to playing in a local concert band and have found that my Beaugnier (Noblet) blends in with the rest of the sax section nicely, very well made saxophones, good luck with the sale.

I was about to buy this one last year when MMM posted this ad.
Financial problems back then and a Duke Tenor on my way to match my alto didn't let me complete the sale.

As it seems a GREAT example of vito kenosha tenor saxophones.
For those that don't know, this sax is as gutsy as can be and as it seems MMM has already overhauled it.

I have played kenosha vitos alto and tenors and they are LOUD.

I can't understand why it's still here. At this insanely low price. At the price of a Chinese no-identity alto.

Thanks Ellinas,
I may post a clip of Tim Boniface play testing the Vito at my house... he thought it was a bargain at the original asking price!
Cheers,
M.

It's strange how times have changed.
The market isn't what it used to be 5 or 10 years ago.
People feel uncomfortable to buy and see how a sax feels and sounds even at the price tag of Jericho.

A video would help convince people what a beast a fine tuned sax like yours can be.

Because this is one more problem. 99% of beaugniers i have tried have not been treated as they should.

Note again that yours has been repadded and well taken for. ( Lots of money and love involved )

If it isn't shiny and got a "name" people do not want to know, I am at the moment separated from my 10m "but" have my Vito Beaugnier alto with me to compensate, it isn't a tenor but it's as good an alto as I've played IMHO. Good luck with the sale.
