You can find some reviews of the various Viking saxophones on SOTW. The reviews seem to be generally good. Vikings are made in Taiwan. Some models seem to be available without top F# which is an attractive option for some players. Whether it is a lasting brand has not yet been established. There is no reason why it should not become one.

Vikings have started to appear on the second-hand market, but not much can be read into that. Perhaps that is an option for you.
