Trying a packet of three of these for alto. First impression is very good.
They describe them as a competitor for Rico orange box and describe them as a student reed. I don't know what that means.
I was looking for something to go with the metalite M11 I'm experimenting with. I went with the 2. Sounds great, feels great, tastes ok too. I'm thinking they'd be good on the D'Addarrio 7.
The first one played in after about 15 mins. Subtones lush and thick and top end sweet and clear. No distortion when pushed and plenty of volume available.
Definately worth a try if you need an American cut reed.
