in the mid sixties i was a budding young trumpet player "selmer melody maker in hand" anyway in order to encourage me older family members would give me old records mostly them 78s of the swing era.
to cut a long story short i used to love playing over and over again this trumpet record with a haunting melody called i believe " midnight is /on the hour ? it may have been recorded by either eddie calvet or harry james ?
can any of the older members out there solve it for me please
thank you

Eddie Calvet's, The man with the Golden Trumpet, hit was "Oh my papa" which would probably have been available on 78 as well as 45. Had one of those angel choir bits in it.

BTW:-Is it you or Tom who is Jeremiah Clark's Trumpet Voluntary?
