Tribute to Andy Hamilton

Just wanted to say, I was at Symphony Hall Birmingham yesterday to watch the tribute to that great Jazz man Andy Hamilton. What a fantastic day it was. People traveled from all parts of the World just to play in the concert. The list of sax players included David Murray, Jean toussaint, Dutch Lewis, Steve Ajao as well as many other world class musicians. It was a fitting tribute to a great man, who always had time for everyone.

Yes he was a great man and player,his contribution to jazz music and to his teaching of music especially to the young was fantastic.
Although i couldn't make it yesterday,it sounded like a fitting tribute to him from what i saw of it on the TV.
