Is that how you spell "tonguing"? Just doesn't look right, never mind, you get me drift.
I bought a playalong album the other day and it's rather good actually - Schott Saxophone Lounge Movie Classics. It's a nice mix of stuff with quite good arrangements. "Careless Whisper" is giving me a bit of gyp though because of the semiquavers in the chorus ("I'm never going to dance again...." etc). If I tongue each note individually it sounds a bit laboured, whereas if I try to use my breath pressure to distinguish each note it sounds totally rubbish.
I wouldn't normally tongue every note in a phrase even if not shown legato because it sounds a bit "square". How should I be doing this?
