Very excited to see Tommy Emmanuel tonight at the Flynn Theater in Burlington, Vermont. I don't understand why he hasn't sold out - the tickets are not expensive. Have been listening to him all day....

Lucky girl Lori.
I've been trying to see him for years and the only time he made it to our area I was away on business.
He's one hell of a guitarist. I wish I was half as good.
Andy

Andy, he played an hour and a half straight, took a short break, and played for more than another hour. His fingers must be made of titanium. Absolutely amazing - highly recommend if you get the chance again.

Enjoy Lori. Must look him up.

How was your holiday, by the way!

Kev he was AMAZING. You won't regret looking him up, his brother plays as well.

The holiday was great, thanks - two weeks flew by. Friends from Chester, London and India joined the tribe. A great time was had by all - survived a harrowing trip to the Skelligs - by drinking lots of Guinness, Murphy's and Bulmer's at the pub in Portmagee. The kids are ready to move to Waterville, Kerry - now we just need to scrounge up the cash.

Marvellous player - saw him years ago at the Hong Kong Jazz Club. Apart from putting the local guitarists to shame - I had taken one of them as my guest, who said he would now give up - he was very funny. He told a story which I loved. He was touring Australia with his brother Phil with their Dad driving the car (they were both child prodigies) when Chet Atkins came on the radio playing Windy and Warm. Tommy was intrigued by how Atkins could sound like three guitarists. Dad said, "It is three guitarists, son. Don't trust them - they're American!"
