This is maybe more for the adult beginners. It's old man music. Maybe my summer project?
Is it possible? I think so. You need a sax, mouthpiece, reed (if you are playing sax), know how to play the tones of the part ...... and a "burning interest" for the music you are going to play as a part of a group. You are going to have fun .. so don't bother about keys, note stands, sheet music .... .
As organizer I need a rhythm section; drummer, bass player and keyboard-/guitar player.
The first song you are going to play is "Last Night". You just play the tones A, A (second octave), E2 and D2 if you are playing tenor sax. Alto and baritone sax are playing E1, A1, E2, D2.
The keyboard-/guitar player is playing solo and, hopefully, a sax solo as well. You rest over the solos but give the soloists nice comments or signs. We are going to have fun ....!!!!
The second song is "I'm A Man (Mannish Boy". You just play the basic lick over and over until the singer gives us a sign. Tenor sax play A, D and C. Alto and baritone are playing E, A and G.
Here is "Last Night".

It's going to be a two hours seance. We learn/play the first song for 45 min. Then a break for 15 min. The second song we learn/play for 45 min. The last 15 min we repeat the songs. Keep in mind; the sooner you repeat, the better. So gather your family and friends when you are back home and play what you have played earlier.
