Hello,
I think about constructing an affordable booth that will lower significantly the dBs coming out of my horn so that I could play during hours that I normally can't. (neighbours, kids, time etc.)

I saw this https://www.vocalboothtogo.com/product/sound-booth-3-x-3-with-soundproofing/ and while it should be a nice solution it's way too expensive.

So I thought about building something with ordinary thick blankets by myself and guess what I found.

I think I'll try it and tell you how it goes.
I don't want full absorbtion/isolation , just to lower the sound as much as I can without having to spend a couple thousands.

What do you think?

Very ingenious, and I can see that it would work. Two issues spring to mind. First is that in reducing the sound it might deaden it to an extent which might be infuriating. The other is I imagine it would be very hot in there after a while, particularly on a warm Athenian evening.

I agree the sound will be "dead" but I don't intend to use it as a proper recording booth.
All i want is to enter, play an intense 45min session and get out.

I agree about getting hot in there..... but I guess we can't have all for nothing
