I have a Buescher True Tone, that has been appraised by the Rayburn Musical Instrument Co., Inc, located in Boston, Ma. It has been appraised for $700 as is and $1900 fully restored. All keys move well, except for one that is a little sluggish. Serial #226491 Can anyone tell me if this appraisal is accurate?

It is the sort of appraisal you might use for insuring the instrument, it is probably quite unrealistic in terms of what you might get if you sell it. With that difference in appraised values, the implication is it needs a complete overhaul and possibly repairs.

Depends if it's soprano, alto, C melody, tenor, or baritone. The TT sopranos seem to get a much higher price than the altos, tenors maybe slightly higher. C melodies a bit lower.

BTW, you have posted in the wrong section, the doorbell section is for introducing yourself to the good folk of the forum. I will move this, but I suggest you post in the doorbell and say a little bit about yourself.

Saxpics have a pretty comprehensive description of the True Tones, your serial suggests a late 20's Series VI model, I have no experience of Bueschers but they suggest these are the more desirable models, look on auction sites or used sax sellers using serial numbers close to yours to gauge an average price.Welcome to the forum.
