Having bought a later post-Selmer alto from 1975 (at the tech's now) I've been looking back at the Buescher history and noticed that Steve Howard's review of this model was written using Pete Thomas' horn.
Apart from Pete, who may wish to comment, and Steve, would anyone else care to shed some light on how the 400 compares to other vintage saxes from the likes of Conn, Martin, Selmer etc? Which of these manufacturer's line up would the vintage 400 most closely resemble for build, design, and sound?
As Steve says, it does look very beautiful.
