The Real Book - Sixth Edition

I am thinking of getting The Real Book - Sixth Edition. However, I’m finding a different list of songs on different websites for the same book! This is confusing me a little as one of the songs that I definitely want in the book is ‘Like Someone in Love’. It’s not a cheap book but I am hoping to learning about twenty or thirty songs from it parrot fashion (so to speak).

Has anyone got this book? If so, could you let me know if the one song I want is in their please.

I have The Real Book sixth edition in Bb. (European Edition) the song you are looking for is not in mine. Also have the four folders containing 12 cds playalongs.

Thanks Tony! Maybe you've answered why I'm getting conflicting lists if there is a European addition and perhaps a US addition.

I didn't realise that you can get backing tracks - are those professionally complied so you could gig solo? and do they cover every song on the book? Sorry for the quesions!

On the inside cover of the book which is by Hal Leonard Europe it states
This Publication is not authorised for sale in the USA and/or Canada

The book contains the dots/score for 464 songs 😀
not all of the songs have backing tracks (shame)
The backing cd's are recorded by Jamey Aebersold, with the usual 1234 count in.

Song 460 is "You Don't Know What Love Is" by Don Raye/Gene Depaul also this is one of the backing tracks.

In Post 7 of this thread it was determined that the European version doesn't have 'Like Someone In Love.

I've ordered it anyhow as its a snip at that price and I'll probably just get the sheet music for the missing song!

Can anyone tell me which edition of #6 has Passion Flower in it? I've seen some version listing it, and others not.

It is in the version I have here which is ISBN 978-0-634-06084-7 and I believe is this version:

as I bought it from Amazon originally - however I think it is the US version not the Europe version as it only carries a US price print and certainly has no mention of not being for sale in the US.
