Clarinet The old licorice stick

Got an interesting clarinet fingering book, that renders them 'the right way round' from a players perspective. Not sure if you have to have the 50s DA style hairdo for it to work though 🙂

my chart is a whole page per note from top to bottom ( or vice versa) of the instrument.. book is called Clarinet Mind Mapping.
I shan't be doing high notes anytime soon though! I've just been noodling around with the low register working out simple Xmas carols and the like !
I've got an old clarinet version of Tune a Day which is as good as anything to simply go through the notes one by one, obviously a bit odd relating fingers to written notes as they are not what you automatically go to after being used to the saxophone
Covering the open holes accurately will require some work too 😉

IMHO, it is basically the start of the altissimo fingering. Sometimes I use its alternate, the 2 right-hand trill keys with high C.

From Yamaha's free downloadable fingering chart. See:
I used to use that fingering a lot. It’s part of the clarion so matches those notes better and extends the break rather than having to cross it.
It’s easier to control pp as well, and is well in tune. Great fingering.
