That got me to thinkIng...I have a metal 8* PPT that's been superseded by a 9*

I've asked Morgan Fry if he will make the 8* even less polite... should be an interesting experiment
his work on mine was superb....

here are a couple of pictures of the MORGAN FRY mouthpiece.

I had decided not to post individual pictures here of all the mouthpieces as the thread would become cluttered. But I can post here if needed.

I can send individual pictures by E Mail to anyone interested in any mouthpiece.

This MORGAN FRY is really great. I played it this morning.

You will see the quality of Morgans work. the tip and side rails are perfection.
Beautiful work.

The 2nd picture looks like there is a big drop off baffle. there isnt. Its just my photography.

I would say that the baffle is VERY like my vintage florida link. I think the term is roll over baffle. In to a Large chamber.
Sound is very much in the vintage Otto Link vibe/area.
Perhaps a little less spread, a little more punch

MORGAN FRY Mouthpiece now sold, with thanks
To someone else who knows that you can NOT have too many mouthpieces.

It should be there by 1 o' clock tomorrow. He is going to post here how great it is, and you snoozers are going to weep. "It could have been me "

Thanks @brianr for your swift postal activity

The piece arrived on time in state-of-the-art cushioned packaging that took half an hour and a few near misses with a Stanley knife to open. Blood comes off carpets doesn't it?

The mouthpiece is every bit as good as Brian described. It is a thing of visual and sonic beauty. I'm not good at picking out mouthpiece nuances in words but this mouthpiece fills an area of tone that my others overlap but don't fully occupy

I'm very pleased ta

Ivan, thanks. Very pleased to hear that you like it.

Yes, my patent application for my packing procedure is in hand, as I write.
Hopefully it will come through soon and I can start production.

I expect the demand for sheets of polystyrene will increase greatly. As will carpet stain remover (blood version )..

SOPRANO

1) YANAGISAWA i know nothing about this. in fact it doesnt say the name Yanigisawa on it. But it does have their badge on the top. possibly an early version.
Lay is 5, which is written on the shank. plays great.
40 pounds

Hi, are you able to post on the forum, or email me, a photo of the Yanagisawa soprano mouthpiece, and in any event let me know what the material is.
Many thanks.

Im not sure what the material is. Possibly Eburnate or Hard rubber. Or a compound.
It feels the "right" stuff.

As I mentioned it doesnt say Yanagisawa on it, but Ive just checked, and the logo on the top is for certain the Yanagisawa logo
Possibly an older version, compared to the ones with the name on top.

Its in really good condition and sounds really good.

Here are some pictures. I can send you more if needed. Just send me your E mail details.

However, Im going away for 4 days from early Thursday, so dont worry if I dont get back to you until I return
