I certainly would, although I’m aware some people have a problem with it when sitting down. I get back pain a lot, but the saxholder mitigates that, even when playing bass.feel, others will recommend it wholeheartedly and if it works for you it is a good choice.
The sitting down bit was awkward although the new version is said to address this, the odd thing for me was the feeling that I couldn't control it, that is was floating, which I suppose is what it's about. I've heard the same from other tenor players but nothing about that from alto players although I don't know why. I certainly regretted that it felt uncomfortable for me as otherwise it did the job.I certainly would, although I’m aware some people have a problem with it when sitting down. Usual non-shill disclosure: I did get mine free,
Both are good the BG Harness and the sax holder.......I have thought about looking there, haven’t worked out what type to get yet.
I have similar back problems and have found the Jazzlabs Saxholder to be a great help and can be used for either alto or tenor.Hi I have just bought a tenor saxophone and am struggling with neck and back pain. Please can anyone recommend a suitable harness or strap to help reduce the pain? Thank you
