A friend of mine sent me a guitar, bass and drum track to see what I thought and to add stuff if I thought it would fit, so I did. It is called Tassology which apparently is the 'science' of reading tea leaves. Have a listen; it's a kind of classic rock meets jazz/blues thingy.

Moz, it sounds good. You did a fine job, it would have been very tempting to fill it uo with loads of notes but you didn't. Nice one.

Chris..

Sorry folks but I don't get to do this very often so I'm about to blow my own trumpet and say that I uploaded Tassology to the BBC Cornwall website and it has now been played on BBC Radio Cornwall's BBC Introducing.

We are on from about 39 minutes and despite being blatant and crass self-indulgence here is the link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011051y

It's only there for seven days so after that the link will just be a lonely and a sad monument to my three minutes and 44 seconds of fame [sigh].

Don`t mug yourself Martin. It`s very nice to think that your stuff has been heard by a Radio Audience. I liked the track . It was also nice that it was a mainstream programme Moz and the DJ gave "Baxter and Gallacher" a proper introduction.

On the Soundcloud front Tee Hee. I also loved that it Segued into One of Gallens Tracks who`s also a member of this forum. It seems like Soundcloud is actually beginning to work properly as a streaming radio like device.

Onwards Onwards Buddy.

Hi Martin,
That sounded great, a good combination of Harp and Sax and very pro sounding. Your horn sounded cool and laid back. What mouthpiece are you using? The keyboard sounded great too is it a synth. Great job.
Rob.

Thanks for that Rob.

I use a Yanagisawa Ebonite mouthpiece with a 7 tip opening, the reed is a Rico Jazz Select strength 3 medium. My sax is a Yanagisawa T901 tenor sax.

The keyboard rock organ voice comes from a very, very old Yamaha SY35 synthesizer which I think I bought in the 1980's and has worked fine ever since; it has an awesome church organ on it too but I have yet to find the right song to use it on.

Martin
