Anyone? Pete? Page 3, ex 101 warm up on chord tones. I used to do this one a lot. Have started again with it 1st every sesh. "If you only have time to do one excercise, make it this one". Why is this one so important? I do it cos it covers a lot of ground, but to be honest there are so many excercises that I should be doing that I could not cover them in twice my available practice time. I like the excercise but why is it THE one?
Best wishes
Mike

Well, I only said that because I find it works well as a warmup. It covers lots of notes, scale fragments and arpeggios. makes you think about the chords at the same time as getting your fingers going. Covers the entire range of the horn nicely.

But it's not compulsory.

No, not compulsory, but knew you said it for a reason. Agreed, it covers lots of ground. I like it not least because I can work on good tone from bottom to top. Cheers.
