Rock & Pop Talk Talk.........

Great call Trimmy. I know Tears' ex manager - Paul King - he cleared off with a lot of their money. Roland Orzabel has written much about him! Big Country - Stuart Adamson ex Skids.....superb. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Get onto Youtube and watch Talk Talk concert live from Montreaux...fantastic.

MArk Hollis of Talk Talk has not conducted a single interview and has virtually disappeared after their last album in the '80s.

Intriguing.....

Always fun to watch 80s band videos, unfortunately my nearly dead computer won't play much youtube anymore, strangely tho, when folk put a youtube clip in a post ( not just a link ) it will play 'em..

One of my favourite bands.........timeless music.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVimMFY4FIE&feature=youtu.be

I contributed in a very minor way to a couple of tracks on The Color of Spring (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Colour_of_Spring). The sessions were quite difficult, Mark & Tim really knew what they wanted but had a hard time expressing it. But I too love their music.

Interesting factoid, Tim Freise-Green pretty much retired from music production but has released a few CDs under the name 'Heligoland' which are very experimental but worth a listen.

Thank you David I knew someone on this site would know more. Have you ever heard what mark is up to? Their music became really "slight" almost inaudible on Colour of Spring

I don't understand what you mean by '"slight" almost inaudible', could you explain?

I have no idea what Mark Hollis is up to. I worked occasionally for Tim F-G after the Talk Talk sessions, but had no contact at all with Mark.

Mark Hollis started to record with extremely low volume. This is not my description - slight. At the end of tracks he has put on single piano chords to link tracks. I shall dig out more info for you.
