the t.bone Ovid System CC 100 – Thomann UK

I've been looking at cheap ways of plugging my sax into my guitar effects pedals and wondered if this Thoman mic is up to the task..
My existing clip on mic has a lot of handling noise - the mechanical pickup of the keywork via the clip and the body of the mic and movement of the cable means a lot of unwanted low frequency thuds that can't be filtered out or got rid of by padding the clip, so I need something with better isolation and shock absorption..
I was thinking of getting the Audix mount - Audix MC 20i – Thomann UK and a cheap lavalier mic and belt pack, but I spotted the Ovid and wondered if it was any good..
Obviously a DPA or SD Systems mic would be better, but I don't want to shell out too much dosh for a project that won't have much commercial potential..
Perfect soun qhality isn'r necessary, I'm going to be going through all kinds of sound mangling effects in my Zoom and Alesis pedals or in Audiomulch on my latop, but I do want a good amount of isolation from handling noise and pick up of other instruments onstage - when you're in full on Terry Riley meets the Daleks mode you don't want thud-ud-ud-ud-ud down a long repeating delay spoiling it all

Better to filter the signal and cut out <120 Hz?

I have DPA and it picks up key noise
i've tried that and the thumps are still audible - it's modulated the rest of the signal too much.. to just be filtered out by an ordinary graphic EQ pedal.
A mic with a shock mount like a smaller version of the one's used for studio condenser mics is probably the answer, that seems to be the method favoured by SD Systems and AMT, hence my interest in the Audix MC20i shockmount that's designed to be used with one of their small clip on condensers -

I’ve buyed this Ovid CC100 mic and got a refund. There is lot of key noises. But sound is good and much more neutral than my SdSystems SX1 and with proper EQ adjusting you can remove most of key noises. I ask myself if I will give it another try or not, I think it’s nice enough in some situations.

I bought, and have just returned this Ovid CC100 mic. I so wanted to like it, but on both flute and sax the handling/key noise on it was terrible.

Tapping 8" down the wire registered the same level as speech so I'm not surprised that handling noise transferred through the mount.

I thought the sound itself was ok...a bit thin maybe, but maybe that was in comparison to a woolly dynamic.
