Supporting Barrance Whitfield & The Savages

If anyone's up for some high energy R&B I’m playing with Hackney’s finest Multinational R&B party band, King Salami & The Cumberland Three, supporting Barrance Whitfield & the Savages at The Haunt in Brighton on the 9th and, hopefully, at the Borderline off Charring Cross Road…. An upbeat, bouncy sort of night is guaranteed

What a great band to support! You'll have a great time. What night are you doing the Borderline? Great little venue. Used to see the Pirates there on a regular basis.

It'd be the the 10th (I'm not 100% sure I'm on that gig- there's a bit of a job share thing with horn players in that band!).. The Pirates- that takes me back, I reemmber their "SKull Wars" poster all over Leeds back in the day. Best gig I ever saw at the borderline was Los Lobos- on the night of a Corona promotion! a sea of tortilla chips, portions of lime and beer... and some great Tex-Mex rock & roll (Steve Berlin on tenor- great rocking player)

He's got a certain El Duderino quality...
