Sunday Morning

Wow, thats really nice and smooth. You've got a very pleasing tone and I like your style too. I love the backing track as there is so little going on, it only gives you a hint of other players leaving the senses to take in everything that you're doing on the sax. Really really lovely!

Wow, thank you to both of you. I am still searching a good drum set with brushes, I bought one from Bigfishaudio but brushes don't work well, they don't get in sync with the track... Pete can you help me in finding a good one for jazz ballads?

The only drum plugin I know is the Toontracks one which is quite good.

Sorry I missed this earlier, to tag someone in a post put the @ sign then auto fill their name.

I didn't know, thank you Pete. I will check it out, I am still not completely happy with the one I have now
They do a pro one and a not so pro, I actually prefer the not so pro called EZ Drummer, not sure about the brushes on that one but I think they have demos. You buy the main EZ Drummer plugin, than add various kits and styles, e.g. Jazz, blues, country. They come with preprogrammed MIDI grooves and some great sounding kits.

I agree with you but this is a slow and long learning process 🙂 I still don't master things enough but hey.. it is lot of fun. Thank you for the comment

Yes, you are right. I was just experimenting with brushes but maybe this song doesn't need them at all... I will see. Better I work on mouthpieces now 😉

Wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much after what the guys said but I really did. Wouldn't have minded being able to compare with the original tho 🙂

We never said it was bad Jeanette, :tongue-out: 😉

I didn't say you did and certainly didn't mean to imply you had

The only real change is the drum track. In the previous version it was much more simple and in some point a bit rude... here it is still rude but it has brushes 🙂. I am trying to find a way to make everything smoother and I already have some idea. Also there is a change in the walking Bass line in the short bridge and a descending whole tone scale to create a bit of atmosphere before the head. Have to go now, this evening we have rehearsals with the big band, ah... wanna listen to me playing clarinet? Go here, only one left but mp3 are always available 🙂

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
