Hi,

This is a song originally done by Randy Crawford in 1979, two years before I was born. I found the background track through one of the Hal Leonard books and tried to record something nice over it.

I play a Le Monde Global Vintage alto sax with Berg Larssen bronze mouth piece and Alexander 2.5 reed

Recorded with a little device called "One Apogee" which has a great built-in microphone (I didn't even have to use any clip-on sax microphone) and connects to Apple Garageband pretty easily.

The improv part in the middle wasn't anything I really practised for as you can hear, but since it's my first try I'm still quite proud of it

Let me know what you think. I'm open for criticism!

One of my favorite songs...
Mine too, Randy Crawford/Crusaders are awesome, one of the sax solos to get me hooked onto the sax.
You done the tune justice, great backing too.
Loved it

Good stuff! The song plays as the intro scene to a Burt Reynolds movie called ‘Sharky’s Machine’. An excellent thriller based in Atlanta if I am not mistaken. Worth watching.

A poignant statement :
