I've got a controversial theory on this- I've always reckoned there's a sort of natural selection going on with mouthpieces- down the ages all the real dogs have been binned or refaced, leading to a filtering effect- hence older pieces seem better.... not 100% certain of this but I've got a distinct feeling its part of the equation.I believe, here we go again (just like everything saxophone) the older versions are said to be better.

They come up on ebay germany every now and again. I'll keep my eyes open for you. Can xlate/bid for you and post it on if you want, so long as you put a little something to Pete's charity.
