Fremont Excalibur

Martin Handcraft - serial number - 69537. Bought from Ponier Music in USA last year. It still has the sale ticket in it at $399. I believe I bought it for $280 plus post and customs. It has had a couple of little repairs and appears only to have a couple of slight dinks. Lacquer is 90%+. No photos as my phone is too old to do them! Comes in a soft bag.

Model number puts it to - 1928 according to the Martin Story website.

But it needs a repad and service so in a tech shop you would budget £350ish. There are a couple on eBay for over $1000 each. They are fully working and around the same year

it's a sad day when someone has to sell their Martins.... 🙁

if I had enough dosh, I'd go for one of the Imperials - curse the gas bill and council tax...:verysad

I have my Martin Master "Typewriter" that I just couldn't bear to part with at any cost. The Imperials may well be late '60s or early '70s but I shall post serial numbers later. They are perfect playing altos.

Fremont Excalibur - now reduced to £275 plus postage. If it doesn't sell at this price I shall keep it. It is virtually brand new, great tone and they were £865 new, made in Taiwan

Any bids for the Fremont Tenor or the Cannonball Excalibur before I go to eBay? These Excaliburs are getting rare, only one other for sale in the USA. Beautiful sounding horns. The tenor is virtually brand new along with the Cannonball which had one slight ding which I had removed and you would have difficulty fining it. Black nickel in A1 condition
