Check this out! Spotify

Search for Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Courtney Pine, Brecker, Marsalis etc.

Search by song: Doxy, St Thomas, Autumn Leaves etc.

Superb and free! Just a few irritating adds pop up now and again.

Works a bit like iTunes BUT it's FREE!

Just a word of caution, it's great service but they were recently compromised. See below:

Spotify has saved me as I can't afford to buy cds all the time like I use to, especially now I have just got a tenor ;)

Spotify is great but can be a bit limited sometimes with licencing. If anyone has a Google G1 phone there is a similar service called dizzler which is great as well, I think they have a desktop client as well but I have never used it.

Yeah, I'm on to it, the free version, lots of great music, but how do I download it. Do I have to pay for that?
Please advise.

I prefer http://www.last.fm/ because you don't have to supply any info at all. I hate giving my real name, address, email etc on the internet as I don't trust it very much. It's not the hackers I worry about, it's our own government that's frighteningly intrusive!
