Spike Jones. He was still big on the telly when I was a kid. And his records used to be played all the time on the light programme. Just a trip down memory lane for me.

Thanks for this. It reminded me that I still have the Nutcracker Suite by Spike Jones on three 78 rpm discs. Perhaps I should try to find something to spin them on just for old times sake. I remember that way back when I used to find them hilarious. Will I be disappointed I ask myself or is such humour timeless?
