A true story... I once frequented a classical forum where myself and others would share their classical compositions. I also shared my jazz pieces as well. There was one guy on there who was incredibly strait laced tradition...Real strait arrow...No open mind whatsoever. He also was very religious in a dogmatic sort of way. Trust me!
He remarked, and I assume he was very serious, that my jazz as well as my classical was the work of the devil. He said I write evil music and especially my jazz thing was highly blasphemous to God's ears. I didn't know he knew God that well...lol...God never mentioned it to me!
He also said I'll probably burn in hell for the way I approach music. It is kind of hot in here today!

Sure, my type of jazz is possibly an acquired taste and I'm not a religious type of guy. I just got a kick out of someone who apparently still lives mentally in the 15th century where his views on music are highly laughable.
My music is so innocuous it's ridiculous. Naturally, I assume people do get offended by certain types of music. I think that's ridiculous in itself. Not liking something is cool, but becoming offended by it is a joke. Why take it so personal, right?

It's all good, yo!

Anyway,

Wow, if he was that offended by your music imagine what the rest of the internet must be doing to him.

Fanatics of any sort scare the crap outta me

By the way the link you put up appears to be broken http://www.reverbnation.com/mikemilillo

Yeah, I know what you mean and the internet allows for people to express themselves like the way he did. Apparently he really hates the type of music I write as well as other similar composers. As I mentioned he is a super strait laced traditional tonal kind of fellow. Some dislike it and don't make a big deal about it and others it ****es the hell out of them to the extent of expressing possible eternal damnation for those that do not write music for these types liking! lol...

Not only myself but others had their go with him and eventually he smartened up and did not post anymore but possibly he still read what was going on.

Even though I know I'm going to burn in hell with all of the other guys...
I have to admitt that I liked it very much!!!!>:)>:)
Your kind of writing and performing is more like what I call Jazz Impro!!!!
Well Done!!!:w00t::w00t:

Well, sorry, but I sympathise with the guy. Very broad though my musical tastes are, there is music out there that should come with a health warning because it drives me from the room shrieking and covering my ears. I can't help but think that some evil force lies behind it all. Shockingly, a lot of it is actually played on so-called "popular" radio stations.

Probably the worst offender is a programme called "Steve Wrights Sunday Love Songs" on Radio 2.........

Yeah, but he doesn't often play Mike's tunes though.
