I bought this on a (GAS) whim so as to try it out in view of Steve Howard's positive review, here (thanks Steve): Venus AS512DN alto saxophone review
This one is the bright nickel version about which I posted a mini review too: Reviews - Mini Review - Venus Alto AS512N in Shiny Nickel
Now in perfect playing condition after I replaced some missing corks, but you may still wish to have your tech breathe over it, as with any used or new sax, to set it up to your personal taste.
The only visual sign of use is a little brass showing through the inside curve of the r/h thumbrest, and the standard mouthpiece is worn (see pics below). You'd probably want to buy a different MP anyway to enjoy the sax to its full potential. A favourite here seems to be the Bari Esprit II, cheapest I can find it is here: http://omegamusic.co.uk/buy/bari-esprit-ii-alto-saxophone-mouthpiece
Comes in hard shell case, along with:
Mouthpiece, ligature, and cap
Neck strap
End stopper (champagne cork) - let me know if you want a fluffy insert instead as I have a spare one.
Polishing cloth
I'm asking just £115 for this sax.
If you can't collect, an insured courier (1-2 days) will be £15 extra.
Payment by Bank Transfer please.
