I have for sale the highly sought after classic Yamaha YAS 62 Alto pre G1 crook & pre 'E' stamped professional level model in very good playing condition. If you are looking for a great sounding sax to upgrade from a student horn, this may be the one for you.
There is lacquer wear but in places where you would expect from a horn that is around 20 yrs old and it has no dents except a couple of small dings.
We bought it just over 2 yrs ago for our son and had it overhauled only 5 months ago so that he can have this sax in top playing condition for years to come but he now has a Selmer Ref 54 to replace this sax when he recently decided on a career in music.
The overhaul included a full re-pad with new pro quality Pisoni leather pads, new corks & felts and fully set-up. I also had it checked it over recently to ensure it is in optimal playing condition to put it up for sale.
The sax comes with its original Yamaha case, and I can throw in a Meyer ‘G’ 6m mouthpiece, ligature & cap and Neotech strap.
I am looking for £1000 ono and will contribute 5% to Pete's charity.
