Couldn’t resist this
Sorry Nigel, but there's also a rogue Ab on first beat of bar 17. No problem for those who know the tune but..
Knowing how I work with Sibelius I thought it might be a leftover from cut and pasting or shorthand input. I hate Sibelius 7 that I have, prefer 4!Oops! Thanks for pointing it out.
I blame the cat for that one! (She sometimes wanders over the keyboard.)
Corrected now.
Happy "almost 21 month saxoversary" Randulo, that's impressive progress! Lovely recording.@nigeld we all thank you every issue of these for your hard work. Don't beat yourself up. Here's my entry, recorded today, on my almost 21 month saxoversary.

Did you miss the other quote? About putting on my makeup? It makes me chuckle, the amount of inflections you get in your playing as a ‘novice ‘ player. Well done.
“ Night and day, you are the one” -
Ah yeah - Roxanne? Oops not sure. I didn’t listen to all of itDid you miss the other quote? About putting on my makeup?
No but I never register lyrics, just notesHow dare you, sir? It's not that long!
"I Say a Little Prayer", Burt Bacharach and Hal David, huge hit by Dionne Warwick. are you that young?
Yeah but you meant the lyricsI played da notes! (oT, enuf)
Brilliant one Rhys! Really nice tone and authentic feel. Thanks!I have a transcription of Ben Webster's solo from his album with Art Tatum, so I made a backing track in BiaB using their tame stride pianist. He's not Art Tatum but I'm not Ben Webster and we could only afford the studio for one chorus.

Fab. Well done on the changes, and I’m hearing some vibrato!I have a transcription of Ben Webster's solo from his album with Art Tatum, so I made a backing track in BiaB using their tame stride pianist. He's not Art Tatum but I'm not Ben Webster and we could only afford the studio for one chorus.

Another great performance! Loved the intro, I wish I could do vibrato like that. Lovely. Thank you!I bought a slow piano backing track from StandardsTrax.com that I think is aimed at vocalists and the pianist pulls the tempo around a lot. It does have the verse at the start and also a short piano solo in the middle but otherwise it is me on baritone trying to play the melody and keep my place.
