I've been practicing Patterns For Jazz for some months now, so I sneaked a few in here. My timing seems a bit rushed in places, so that's another thing to work on. I guess I'm still thinking about navigating this tiny little saxophone that lets you know exactly what you're doing wrong.

The Hal Leonard arrangement is as follows:
  • four bar drum intro, sax pick up in the 4th bar going into ....
  • 32 bar tune (A A B A) [a chorus]
  • 2 x choruses for soloing over (64 bars in total)
  • 32 bar tune (A A B A)
  • Tag ending of a final four bars, which means play the final phrase two extra times (exactly like my lead sheet)

See if that works and then press record when you know your way !

Almost at the last minute, here is a new take on the Hal Leonard backing track:

We have reached the end of the month and there will be a new SOTM tomorrow, so many thanks to @rhysonsax for acting as this month's host and to all the contributors.

As usual, this thread will remain open, and extra contributions are always welcome.
