Errands done for the day, a forecast for rain, so a time hasty attempt at SOTM.

2x on the Tenor, followed by coaxing my poorly Alto through it twice, it's off the tech next week for some TLC.

Excuse my poor editing between the two

The tenor sounded good. :yess:
The alto did sound like a bit of a strain, so I'm glad it's going in for some care.

I love St Thomas, it used to get played regularly at a Jazz night I used to go to (on flute as it happens), it’s one of those that has been etched in my mind over the years!

No, but that was mind blowing! What technique is he using, singing along with “blowing” across the flute?

All sorts of techniques were being used. Singing whilst blowing was certainly one of them. We need a proper flute player to describe the other techniques being used.

It was a crowd pleaser but musical too. Denis DiBlasio is a fine baritone player too and featured in the old Saxophone Journal when I had a subscription.
