Song that Grover Washington, Jr. would've played?

Hi, guys. So there's this song by the Bee Gees that I known Grover Washington would've done. If I were to know him & work with him in the 80's, I would talk to him about puttng his own spin on this tune, because of his fat sound on alto, his altissimo & his ability to bend notes on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQPBk0RD8d0

& by the vibe that the percussion and drums in the tune, the session band that Grover recorded winelight with, they would be a perfect match for recording the song. Both Grover & the band were really talented.

Oh dear! Now I've got the heebeegeebees. I'd struggle to play "more than a woman" on saxophone. I can't find a tune and I find the harmony is a little simple and the sentiment of the lyrics a little juvenile and uninspiring and although some of their stuff is very good and they wrote some good stuff for lots of other artists they did seem to take themselves a bit to serious and act a little precious

but if it sounds a little simple, that's why players improvise. it can be done, you just have to know how to do it right for it to melodically make sense. GWJr and many others sure knew how to.

In my belief, There's two ways to do a song. If you do it the good way, props to you! If it's done the wrong way, something's wrong, try again. If it does not work out for you, move on.

But dull is still dull. After running round some Ellington, Gershwin and other greats a three chord trick is limiting.

That's what you think. You're missing my point. The thing is, is that we all perceive music differently and, to not make it sound dull, that's why there's this thing called fusing genres & using the ear. Now, what would be dull is to imitate the bee gees on sax the way they sing it. There's always do's and dont's to a tune.
Disclaimer: This is my opinion. You are free to disagree. It is of very little importance to me.

9 chords in this song.

you would have loved and been very proud to be apart of this session. it would have been your claim to fame. no doubt.

we all would have loved to be part of this ingeniousness. who can so they would have passed this session up.

its all great music when you spend a little time pulling it apart and playing around with it.

Actually it took me back to a show band i was in in the 80's called the "Zippty Doo Daa Show Band", The Zips for short.

Any way lots of costume changes and so on.

So yeah i had to be one of the hee bee gee bees for a quick 5 minute medley. ........ok i can erase that memory now ;->

ps
gigs you do for the dollar, actually a lot of silly fun.
