Skylark on a late 30's Otto Link mouthpiece

Hi all 🙂. I did record a take of 'Skylark' begin this year for the other forum and would like to share it here too. Didn't have much preparation time before recording (that's normal for me) and had some issues with the bridge, but I actually liked the old school sound I got from the used mouthpiece.

This take was played on a late 30's Otto Link Four**** that was refaced by Jon van Wie to an 8* tip. It's actually a kind of Frankenstein piece and it doesn't always respond well to a reed, but if you find a good one the tone is very nice (at least in my ears 🙂). Here is a link to the soundclip (with thanks to Chris for the very nice backing):

Comments are welcome (good and bad ones!). 🙂

Guess I missed this when it first came around, but glad I didn't miss it this time. Smooth and buttery. It's breakfast time here on the other side of the world and this has made me hungry for pancakes!

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
