Next Saturday's BBC radio 3 Jazz Record Requests is to be devoted to Sir John as well. It stays on i-player for a week afterwards.

Just another Old Git.>:)

I was lucky enough to be able to go to his weekly jazz talks at the Stables in Wavendon. He was a real gent and made lots of time to talk to the public. He was well loved.

Obviously not as loved as our own "Old Git" though.:)
