A man of good taste-you've got two of my favourite horns there.... did you say your saxello was an ebay find? Lucky fellah!

Yes it was. Some poor guy who had been made redundant and needed the cash. Cistme less than one third of the 'new' price. It is in excellant condition and the sound is beautiful.

I'm loving the Mauriat too and am so pleased I moved up from alto. I am a lucky bug@. :w00t:

A picture of my Martin Comm II from 1940. A player and a looker. Lion and Crown engraving, solid nickelsilver keys, adjustable thumbrest .... . The Comm II are different to play compared to the Committee I and "The Martin ...". In the 60's they re-tooled it and the sax became Martin Medalist.

Five out of seven, being generous. Good effort, but no cigar.

meet my trusty Mauriat 66r & Mr. cheap as chips Venus Curved soprano....

Nice Jules. How is the cheapo curved sop?

Incidentally, the quiz to guess what all mine are - you're barred>:). This is on the following grounds:

1 One of them was bought from you

2 Another was bought from the shop you work in

3 Another was serviced on behalf of the previous owner just before I bought it, in the shop where you work

:D

for the price- great! worth every bit of the £110 I paid for it... OK, it's not the world's greatest sop, but it's in tune and satisfies my desire for something to noodle on in a vaguely celtic/folky sort of way. Plus- the quality of the original mouthpiece raised a few titters! Will probably upgrade when I next get an attack of GAS but for now it does the job fine.
Plus, it looks cool- being black with silver keywork!
