I like to play "Stones" songs. "Ain't Too Proud To Beg, Waiting For A Friend, Symphaty For the Devil" ... and now I'm also trying to sing and play "Shine A LIght". I think it's a diffucult song to sing. I got so inspired by saxman Jimmy Carpenter so I tried to do it myself. But with straight drums, not the New Orleans style (second line?)

The song is in concert C. D on tenorsax. The saxsolo can be played over D major scale with some pentatonic/blues licks or B blues scale (B D E F F# A B). I try to think Clarence Clemons. See if it all works out for me? I have good help from my friends!

A videoclip with Jmmy Carpenter.

Great clip. I wish I could have been there. I could have enjoyed the music and shot the drummer. :)

Any one remember the Dave Clark Five?

While at school I remember a muso friend describing Dave Clark (billed as leader and drummer) as being like a kid with his first knife and fork.

His drum kit would end up in bits and pieces if he drummed with a knife and fork.....
