I just bought a sharkbite strap for my watch.
It made me wonder why the name seemed familiar.
Then it dawned on me.
Whatever happened to Sharkbite mouthpieces. There used to be quite a buzz about them a decade ago.

I know what happened to mine. I chopped 1cm off the end to make it into a C Mel mouthpiece.

There's actually one on eBay right now, for a rather optimistic £70! They've since been replaced in the marketplace by other cheapy unidentifiable brand tenor pieces at about thirty quid. Order direct from China, get it in a couple of weeks, probably in a package saying 'commercial sample' or 'gift' on the customs dec.

I remember back then when the first half decent Chinese mouthpieces surfaced. There was Sharkbite and another brand Huastar that looked similar.

Not at all bad.

I think I still have a couple of Sharkbites but haven't played them in ages, as @ellinas predicted when I took them off his hands. Not bad at all, but there is so much better...
