September 2014 BOTM "Teach Me Tonight".

Very nice track Nick.:thumb::mrcool Certainly makes a nice relaxing change after burning all me brain cells with last months IOTM giant steps - dread to think what IOTM has in store this month - probably something in 11/8!

This track is growing on me more and more. I popped Teach Me Tonight in spotify and loads of versions old and new. I think Amy Winehouse is up there as one of the best. Interestingly I didn't particularly like Frank Sinatra with Quincy Jones version and I usually love everything he sings and Quincy arranges.

Nice choice for the month. I`ve deliberately not listened to any until I had an idea of the direction I wanted to go with my BT & my takes but now that I`ve posted my first go. I`ll listen tonight after my shift. and try and comment when I have time to do them justice.

My first take is badly recorded with lot`s of artifacts and wandering about but I like the mellow mood. It`s here if you want to hear it.

Yes...definitely! and a beautiful picture of health still in that performance. I have watched this particular clip on you tube for a few years now and it's how I will always remember her.
I think she really enjoyed it and showed a lot of respect to the musicians. For me she felt it all and let it flow superbly in a Winehouse way.
Still a great take on Dinah Washington's version.

Played nicely with a good latin feel.
It works well in this style.
Nice stuff.

You handled that well Andy.
Improv flowed along well also.

I had a quick play at this one on Bari to try out a fibracell that's been sitting in my case for a while.

Nick.
Lovely take on Bari. Thank you for the comments, and thank you for pitting this BOTM package together.

Lovely playing and nicely recorded again, Guenne.

That is a good tempo to play it at and suits your style really well. Where is that backing track from ?

What a high standard for us to aim for.
